WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE TEKAKWITHA GAMES?
The games are designed for everyone, regardless of physical ability or intellectual muscles. It is family friendly fundraising event, and you will love the atmosphere and experience. Participants must be at least 10 years old by the start of the event. Most of the participants will be adults.
WHAT DAY IS THE EVENT HELD?
The Tekakwitha Games will be held at camp Kateri on Sunday, October 23, 2016 (1-5 pm). Please arrive 30 minutes before the event begins.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The registration fee for the 2016 games is $35.00.
WHAT IF I AM NOT A GREAT ATHLETE OR NOT IN GOOD SHAPE?
The majority of the events have been designed for the average person to enjoy. Each participant can choose which events they want to complete in to help their team. Some require physical ability while others require mental skills.
WHAT DO I GET, WHEN I SIGN UP FOR THE GAMES?
Each participant receives an event shirt (featuring the color group of your team). The winning team will also receive a Tekakwitha Games Medal. Their will also be free water and snacks throughout the day.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND TO SUPPORT ME?
Sorry, due to the size of the event, we only have room for registered members. Only people who register for the event can attend.
DO I HAVE TO BE A CATHOLIC TO PARTICIPATE?
No. We encourage people from our Diocese to bring people who have fallen away from the faith or are interested Catholicism. To be successful in the Games, having knowledge of the Catholic faith and scripture is helpful, but not necessary.
CAN I VOLUNTEER TO HELP?
We do accept volunteers over the age of 16. We also give community service approval. For more information, please use the contact form found here. Spots are limited.
IS THIS A CHARITY EVENT?
Yes. The event supports the programs and services of Camp Kateri Tekakwitha.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO REGISTER?
Participants must be at least 10 years old by the start of the event. All registered participants younger than 18, must be accompanied by a registered adult. Although the event will primarily have adult participants, all activities are family friendly.
DOES MY CHILD NEED A CHAPERONE?
All participants under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a registered parent or chaperone.
CAN I REGISTER THE DAY OF THE EVENT?
Registrations close once all of the teams are filled.
DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
We do not offer refunds. However, you can transfer your registration to another person. Please use the contact form found here to learn how.
HOW CAN I REGISTER A GROUP OF FRIENDS?
The Tekakwitha Games is a fun social event. We expect many groups of friends and social organizations to participate. All registrations are individual. However we encourage groups to sign up for the same team.
WHAT IS THE WAIVER?
You must have a signed waiver to participate in the Tekakwitha Games. If a participant is under the age of 18, the parent must sign the form. The waiver is part of the online registration.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
The gates open at 11:45 am, with the production getting under way at 1 am. Please allow at 30 minutes to park and make your way to your team.
HOW LONG DOES THE EVENT LAST?
The event lasts from 1:00-5:00 pm. Participants are welcome to stick around until 6pm to socialize and explore Camp Kateri.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Each participant is encouraged to wear a costume that matches the team they have selected to participate on. Make sure the costume is not confusingly similar to a rival team color. Make sure the costume is comfortable, and something you are willing to wear for 4 hours. Wear comfortable shoes for an active afternoon.
WILL THERE BE A BAG CHECK?
Sorry, unfortunately, there will not be a gear check. We suggest coming to the event with what you expect to wear and carry all day.
DO I NEED TO PAY FOR PARKING?
There is no fee for parking.
DO I NEED MONEY FOR ANYTHING?
No, unless you would like to make an additional donation to camp or for camp scholarships. Drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the event.
